Failure Description

  • What exactly is happening?
  • When did it start?
  • Is the issue constant or intermittent?
  • Does it happen during startup, running, shutdown, or under load?
  • Are there fault codes, alarms, or unusual sounds?
  • Did anything change before the issue started?

Service History

  • Recent repairs
  • Parts replaced
  • Known recurring issues
  • Preventive maintenance schedule
  • Lubrication or wear items
  • Previous troubleshooting attempts

Before a Service Call

  • Take photos of fault screens and equipment condition.
  • Record exact fault messages.
  • Confirm power, air, and network connections.
  • Gather manuals, drawings, and spare parts information.
  • Document any safety concerns or lockout requirements.
